The World Wildlife Fund has released its annual list of the most threatened species around the world. Due to a host of threats, including climate change, the long-term survival of many animals is increasingly in doubt.
“We have a window of opportunity in which to step up and pull back some of the world’s most splendid animals from the brink of extinction."
- Director of WWF Scotland, Dr Richard Dixon
The WWF list includes tigers, polar bears, pandas, and the leatherback sea turtle.
If you're unfamiliar with the leatherback, you can visit Paso Pacifico's photo gallery.
